Marin Academy Women’s Golf Scores Historic First Victory – Marin Independent Journal

Stephanie Zola took medalist honors with a par 44 from 8 over at Peacock Gap as Marin Academy earned its first victory in the program’s first season. With an extra boost from Parker Rothbart, who shot a 46, the Wildcats (1-1) edged Washington, 195-203, on Monday. Washington was led by Kristen Wong’s 47.

• Aimee Yang and Lizzy Liu each shot a tied 40 for low medalist honors as they led Branson past Tam and Archie Williams in a three-way match at the Meadow Club on Monday. The Bulls finished at. 183, with Archie Williams at 221 and Tam at 234.

The Bulls also got help from Anna Han (41) and Phone Yates (62).

Ryan Magnusson’s 41 paced the Falcons, followed by Kaiya Chiu (56), Mirabelle Davis (62) and Abby Cochran (62). Tam was managed by Lola Spendov (50), Alexandria Fordes (60), Alex Tesse (62) and Zoe Tokarski (62).

Field hockey

Eleanor Titcome’s spectacular fourth-quarter goal gave Redwood a 1-0 victory over Davis on Monday. Sammy Haan led the attack with the assist from Titcome, whose reverse stick with his back to goal found a hole in the defense for the winning goal with 11:40 to play.

• Senior Katharine DiPerna Pavlich set the score for the Falcons in a 6-2 loss to Berkeley.
