DOUGLASS, Kan. – The exceptional private collection of Dr Peter and Grace Jochimsen – a plentiful selection of some of the best Wave Crest pieces and French cameos available, as well as other beautiful items – will be sold without reserve on Saturday 23 October by Woody Auction , online and live in the Woody Auction auction room located at 130 East Third Street in Douglass, Kan., starting at 9 a.m. CST.

The Wave Crest includes plaques, planters, bells, boxes and vases, while the collection also includes a French cameo, plated Amberina, pink agata, slots, Pairpoint lamp, English Thomas cameo Webb & Sons and more. “There are over 2,000 photos featured for this amazing auction, so plan to see them online or join us in person,” said Jason Woody of Woody Auction.

Galle’s French cameo art glass vases are always a hit with collectors. The offering will be a rare example of a soufflé mold in white, yellow, and green tones, with a 9 ¾ inch tall green cameo carved vine and flower decor; and another with a decor of molded cherry branches and a yellow and white background with an overlay of intricately carved cranberries in a cameo. Both are simply magnificent.

Two English cameo art glass cologne bottles by Thomas Webb and Sons should stir the paddles. One is square in shape, yellow background with carved cranberry floral vine decor and white cameo, plus an embossed sterling silver hinged glass stopper showing British hallmarks dating from 1904; the other is frosted with a white cameo carved overlay of a lovely latticework and floral design.

An A. Walter Nancy molten glass French art glass bowl with beautiful design, with pine cone and beetle panels and wonderful colors of yellow, blue and green is double signed “A. Walter Nancy” and “Henri Bergé”. Will also be offered a superb bowl on foot signed “LC Tiffany”, having a ribbed optic in clear crystal with a decoration of opaque green leaves and pink flowers.

Also on sale will be a Tiffany Studios # 23819 art glass flower vase # 23819, 16 inches tall, having an elegant bronze base and stem holding a lavender and feather art glass “flower”. ‘opal drawn. An unmarked Royal Flemish by Mt. Washington art glass vase with a beautifully segmented background with griffin and dragon enamel decor, 10 inches tall, will also be in the running.

The lamps will be led by a beautiful Pairpoint table lamp with a quaint sailboat decor painted upside down on the ‘Springfield’ shaped shade, plus a flake ice exterior, set on a base marked ‘Pairpoint C3066 “. Returning to the vases, a high quality, signed “LC Tiffany” art glass vase, in a bright, fiery Samian Red with decorated vertical silver lines, measures 7 ½ inches in height.

A New England pink agata art glass pitcher features exceptional marbling with a ribbed and decorated appliqué handle, 6 ¼ inches high. A Burmese art glass ginger jar from Mount Washington with a vintage design showing the words of Robert Burns will also be sold.
