The Luminate Leechburg event will take place on Saturday

The annual Luminate Leechburg holiday celebration will take place from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday in Leechburg.

Activities will include photo ops with Santa Claus, back-of-home tours at the Sprankle Neighborhood Market, a story hour at the Leechburg Public Library, a scavenger hunt and a parade at 5:30 p.m. A Free After-Party Featuring Steel Mill Rising and a Villain The Christmas Sweater Contest will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Marconi Club, River Avenue.

Pet food, collection of supplies to benefit local animal rescues

A puppy and paw drive will continue through December 20 at Citizens Bank located inside Giant Eagle in Allegheny Township.

The collected items will be donated to Champions Crusaders Rescue in Parks and Animal Protectors in New Kensington. Most needed items include any brand of wet or dry dog ​​and cat food, blankets, towels, training treats, pet toys, Nylabones, canned pumpkin, canned chicken, uncooked white rice, and peanut butter creamy that does not contain xylitol.

Stuff the Cruiser Events Planned in Saxonburg
